  • 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque; eight-speed automatic (TorqueFlite); Available eTorque 48-volt "mild-hybrid" system with +16 hp/130 lb-ft boost.
  • Results in best-in-class V8 towing of 12,700 lbs., and 2,300 lbs. maximum payload.

Thanks to the new "eTorque" mild-hybrid system, the new 1500 nets best-in-class V8-powered towing with the system equipped. Drawing it's energy from a 48-volt battery and belt-operated generator, energy from regenerative braking is put to use to improve gas mileage and power the truck's many technological innovations. All engines available with 4x2 or 4x4 drivelines.

Trim Levels & Features

Ram 1500 Tradesman

This is the introductory model, featuring standard 18-inch wheels, active grille shutters for improved fuel efficiency, power-adjustable side mirrors, trailer sway control, electronic parking brake assist, push-button start, a rearview camera, and a Uconnect infotainment system with a 5-inch touchscreen.

Ram 1500 Big Horn

This model improves on the Tradesman by adding an upgraded cloth upholstery and a power-adjustable driver's seat. You can also upgrade the Big Horn to include an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay ™ and Android Auto ™ smartphone integration.

Ram 1500 Rebel

This is Ram 1500 meant to dominate off-road conditions, since it's equipped with standard four-wheel drive, Bilstein shocks, and a number of off-road specific upgrades. In addition to standard power-adjustable front bucket seats and a 115V power outlet, the Rebel trim can also be upgraded with the 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, park assist, and front and rear parking sensors.

Ram 1500 Laramie

This model builds on the Big Horn trim level, adding standard leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and the upgraded 8.4 Uconnect infotainment system with satellite radio and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity.

Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn

Features standard premium leather seats, ventilated rear seats, HD Radio, navigation, and front and rear parking sensors.

Ram 1500 Limited

This top-of-the-line Ram 1500 is loaded with standard wireless device charging, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, in addition to all of the amenities offered on the Laramie Longhorn.
